Civil Engineer

About the role

The Civil Engineer will oversee civil works, structural elements, buildings, facilities and related infrastructure across AlTijaria Group properties. The role ensures safety, functionality, quality and regulatory compliance while supporting high‑impact commercial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical and feasibility studies, property investigations and civil condition assessments to define scope and priorities.
• Develop, review and comment on detailed civil designs, drawings, specifications and technical documents using engineering software.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for civil works.
• Review civil and fit‑out drawings, identify required modifications and provide justified recommendations.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of civil materials, equipment and resources in line with project schedules.
• Assess sustainability and environmental impact of civil works and propose efficiency measures.
• Handle all civil maintenance activities, liaise with clients, architects and subcontractors, and supervise tendering procedures.
• Manage budgets, schedule material purchases, ensure legal compliance and resolve design and development issues.
